My Journey

My journey this semester has been in a word, CRAZY! I have been like the energizer bunny that keeps going, going and going. As an online student at BCC, I have learned a lot about computers that I did not know before. I have also learned to be a better time manager and how to stay more focused. This semester has reminded me that anything worth having is a challenge.
If I could change one thing about my semester it would to be involved in more verbal communication. I prefer traditional classes to online classes. I think I would have learned more and been less frustrated.
I am looking forward to being back in class next semester!

Computer Optimism

Computers have come a long way, bringing the people with them. The grandma that was scared of using her debit card is now on Facebook. This is the generation where children are raised with technology. They do not understand life without them so they lack the fear that the older generation has. Optimistic would best describe most of the computer geeks that created what we use today. Now that it is here, we realize that not every one good with a computer does good things with a computer. Most people enjoy the new conveniences that computers provide but are pessimistic about the conveniences they provide criminals.

My Degree

I am interested in pursuing an Associates Degree in Industrial Technologies, possibly double majoring in Electronics. These degrees appeal to me because I find them interesting and challenging. I have always been a hands-on kind of person so the thought of getting paid to take things apart and put them back together again is very appealing. The skills I will learn with this plan of study will assist me in gaining employment that has longevity. Most companies that employ people with these degrees offer substantial pay and benefits. As an added benefit, I will enhance my overall fix-it skills that will save plenty of money throughout my life.

Favorite Activity

I really enjoy taking my two boys fishing ,we can go out on the boat with no value of time. It's very peaceful and we really enjoy the quality of bonding that exist between us. We also make it a little challenge between us in who catches the biggest fish. Its the one thing all three of us can do and act like boys.We get in a lot of valuable conversations and just feel out where we stand with each other outside everyday life.  I'm happy when they are happy , it really puts a smile on there face.
